The University of Nebraska at Kearney has announced the eight 2002
Homecoming finalists. The royalty will be crowned on October 10 following the Lip Sync Competition, which will begin at 7 p.m. at the Health and Sports Center.Royalty finalists are listed alphabetically by hometown:

Sarah Poston is the daughter of Evan and Sharyn Poston of Bellevue. Sarah is representing Centennial Towers West. Sarah is an Elementary Education major and a Resident Advisor in CTW. She has been the Mainstage Chair of Student Activities Council and the vice-president of Hall Council for two years. She is a member of The Herd.

Johnny Garner II is the nephew of Mike and Deb Goulff, his guardians, from Grand Island. Johnny is representing Lambda Pi Eta, the Speech Honors Society. He was on the 2002 staff for Summer Advising and Enrollment; he mentors for Student Support Services and was the 1998 Student Support Services “Most Promising Student.”
Michelle Kruse is the daughter of Betty  and Gary Kruse of Grand Island. Michelle is representing Chi Omega sorority. She serves as the president of Panhellenic Council and the -1 of 3- president of the National Residence Hall Honorary. She is a Chancellor’s Ambassador and is involved in her sorority.
Justin Webb is the son of Marvin and Jeanne Webb of Grand Island. He is representing Randall Hall. He has served as a Resident Advisor for Randall Hall for two years. He is involved in Student Activities Council, the Newman Center and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He intends to go to optometry school once he graduates in May.
Dusty Reynolds is the son of Robert and Carrie Reynolds of Hooper. Dusty is representing Mantor Hall. He has served as a Resident Advisor for Mantor for two years. He is also a member of Rho Alpha Sigma, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Industrial Distribution Organization. He is a part of Student Government, where he serves as student senator for the College of Business and Technology.
Michael Pelster is the son of Mike and Joni Pelster of Ogallala. He is representing Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is president of the Greek Steering committee and vice-president of RA Council. Michael is involved with Residence Hall Association and has held many leadership positions within his fraternity including vice-president, social chair, co-recruitment chair and community service chair. He recently won the Intramural Participant of the Year award.
Jada Bilau is the daughter of Tim and Lanell Bilau of Pierce. She is representing the American Marketing Association, of which she is president. Jada is involved in the Honors -2 of 3- Program, Honors Student Advisory Board and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She is the treasurer of Phi Beta Lambda and the Society for Human Resource Management. This summer she was on Summer Advising and Enrollment staff and has been on the Dean’s List for four semesters.
Amanda Kamler is the daughter of Steve and Ann Kamler of Shickley. She is representing Mantor Hall. She has been a Resident Advisor for two years and is currently the Assistant Hall Director in Mantor. She is a Student Envoy, a UNK Diplomat and was a part of the Summer Advising and Enrollment staff for 2002. Amanda holds an executive position in the National Residence Hall Honorary and has remained on the Dean’s list her entire college career.
