UNK Habitat for Humanity will be sponsoring HabiFest on Wednesday, April 10 from 1-5 p.m. The campus Habitat for Humanity will be working with Kearney Area Habitat for Humanity to build a storage shed on campus just north of Cope Memorial Fountain. The shed will then be placed in the backyard of the next Habitat home, to be built. UNK students are invited to help in this endevour, stopping by between classes to pound a few nails or autograph a few boards. UNK Campus Habitat for Humanity president, Chelsea Juricek said, “It will be a fun afternoon and hopefully we can do our part in raising awareness for poverty housing and Habitat for Humanity’s goal of eliminating poverty housing.” For more information call (308) 865-4128.
