Everyone wants a time when they can get away from the stress of life. We all want and need a place of refuge. The campus ministries of the University of Nebraska at Kearney are sponsoring a night such as this. The purpose of the Refuge is to unite the students and campus ministries of UNK and to worship God in doing so. The Refuge will be held March 14 at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. A band from Iowa State, called the Salt Company led by Mark Arant, will lead worship for the night.

Ron Brown, University of Nebraska at Lincoln Receiver’s Coach, will speak. “Students should come because Ron Brown is an amazing speaker,” said Rebecca Holmstedt, co-organizer of the Refuge. “He does not inform us of what he is going to speak about. It is whatever God has laid on his heart to speak about.”

This is the second year that the Refuge has been held. It is funded by UPFF, is non-profit, and admission is free. The Refuge is open to UNK students and seating is limited.
