The Offutt Air Force Base Heartland Quintet will be marching their way onto the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s terrain on February 11.

The Heartland Quintet will be hosting a free woodwind clinic for middle school, high school, and college students beginning at 4 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building. According to David Nabb, UNK associate professor of music and performing arts, the clinic is a valuable experience for the students. “It’s great because they get to work with full time musicians,” he said.

Nabb also encourages the public to attend the Quintet’s free concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The Heartland Quintet is composed of members of the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band. The Band is a 60-member unit stationed at Offutt Airforce Base, near Omaha. The group performs for both military and civilian audiences.
