CHARLIE TUNA TO VISIT KEARNEY

Charlie Tuna, top Los Angeles radio personality, will visit the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Friday, March 23.

Charlie Tuna was invited to the campus by The Collegiate Society of Electronic Media. TCSEM is a student honorary organization devoted to professional journalism in broadcast and print. The keynote address will be held at 2 p.m. in Copeland Hall Room 142 and is open to the public.

Charlie Tuna, a Kearney native, was voted one of Los Angeles’ top 10 radio personalities of all time. He has worked as morning drive personality for more stations and formats that anyone in Los Angeles radio history. He has worked in Top 40, AC, Hot AC, Oldies, Talk, Sports Talk, Country and currently KBIG 104. Charlie Tuna was honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1990. Charlie attended Kearney State College in the early 1960’s.
