LYNN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP CONCERT

UNK-The University of Nebraska at Kearney Department of Music and Performing Arts will present the William Lynn Memorial Scholarship Concert in the Fine Arts Recital Hall at 4 p.m. on April 30.

Dr. David Bauer will conduct the concert. The concert will feature the Caelestes Cantores, the UNK women’s choir; The Statesmen, UNK’s men’s choir; the University Vocal Collegium, UNK’s chamber choir; and the Choraleers, UNK’s concert choir group. Accompanying the singers on the piano will be Carol Gangwish and Polina Khatzko.

Tickets for the concert will be $10 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and $5 for students, they will be available for purchase at the door.

The William Lynn Memorial Scholarship Concert was established nine years ago to raise money for scholarships supporting music students.

The late William Lynn founded the Choraleers forty-two years ago and is the premier choral organization at UNK. Dr. David Bauer began his tenure with the choir in 1984. Membership is by audition and open to all university students.
