UNK- The University of Nebraska at Kearney Habitat for Humanity chapter is raising money for its Million Penny Campaign. The fund drive began in December, but has expanded recently to include more of the Kearney community and the UNK campus. Donation boxes, shaped like little houses, have been placed at several Kearney businesses for contributions. The donations collected at the Kearney businesses will be used to purchase the building materials of the campus-sponsored Habitat house.
For more information on hosting a donation box, contact Ross Louch at (308) 865-4431.
The UNK chapter of Habitat for Humanity is in its third year of existence and works in affiliation with the Kearney chapter and Habitat for Humanity International.
