Stay-at-home directive extended until May 4 for UNK employees, student workers

To the Students, Faculty and Staff of the University of Nebraska: Earlier this month, as part of our collective effort to “flatten the curve” of COVID-19 in Nebraska, we announced that we were limiting employees’ presence on our campuses to designated on-site personnel. Kim Carlson: ‘Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History’

Kim Carlson discovered her love of genetics as an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She was inspired by her former biology professor, Doug Lund, who retired in 1999 after a 37-year career here. “He encouraged me to pursue genetics,” Carlson said. “His advice was, ‘If you love it, then do it.
