MUSIL SENIOR COMPOSITION RECITAL SET FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 8; MUSIL WILL BE FIRST TO GRADUATE FROM UNK WITH COMPOSITION MAJOR

Mark Musil, a University of Nebraska at Kearney senior majoring in music performance and composition, will showcase his original compositions for voice and instruments Thursday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall.

Musil, who has studied composition with Dr. Darleen Mitchell, UNK will be the first UNK student to graduate with a degree in music performance/composition in May. Selected compositions he has written for choir, brass quintet, flute and piano, and viola and bass will be performed on the Thursday evening recital, which is free and open to the public.

He is the son of Paul and Kim Musil of Ord.
