KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney is recognizing eight high schoolers for their outstanding writing abilities. Sponsored by the UNK Writing Center, American Democracy Project and Phi Eta Sigma and Sigma Tau Delta honor societies, the second annual Nebraska Emerging Writers Contest gave students from across the state an opportunity to showcase their talent while competing for cash prizes. Nebraska high schoolers invited to participate in Emerging Writers Contest

 KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney is looking for the state’s best young writers. Open to any high schooler in the state, the annual Nebraska Emerging Writers Contest gives students an opportunity to showcase their talent while competing for cash prizes. Phi Eta Sigma names winners of Nebraska Emerging Writer Contest

KEARNEY – Seven high school students have been named winners in a University of Nebraska at Kearney writing contest with the theme “Nebraska in the Year 2020.” The Nebraska Emerging Writer Contest included submissions from students across the state in three categories: essay, poetry and short story. Phi Eta Sigma honor society inducts 110 students

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society inducted 110 new student members at its initiation banquet April 19. UNK faculty members Amy Nebesniak and Letty Reichert were inducted as honorary members.
