UNK online graduate education program ranked 28th nationally

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney was once again recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best schools in the country for students pursuing an online graduate degree in education. KEARNEY – Professor Grace Ann Mims was announced today (April 4) by Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Charlie Bicak as the appointed interim dean of the College of Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Pending Board of Regents approval, Mims will transition into the role in July following the retirement of Dean Sheryl Feinstein. UNK Faculty Senate President Grace Mims Title: Professor and chair of the Department of Counseling and School Psychology. Professional background: Worked as a staff counselor at Ball State University before spending 15 years as a professor at the University of South Dakota. Joined UNK in 2008 and became a department chair two years later. Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Missouri; master’s degree in student affairs and community counseling from Western Illinois University; and a doctorate from Southern Illinois University.
