Nearly 400 Nebraska high school psychology students and their teachers from 25 schools will attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney Psychology Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Demonstration topics will include neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, animal behavior, social psychology, environmental psychology, skeptical inquiry, clinical psychology and experimental psychology.
In all, there will be approximately 40-50 experiential exercises and demonstrations representing a wide range of research and applications in psychology.
The fair is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue to 1 p.m. in the Nebraskan Student Union and on the third floor of Copeland Hall.
According to Dee Ellingson, UNK psychology office associate, UNK Department of Psychology students and faculty have increased the number of hands-on activities available for attendees. Among the activities will be classroom exercises in sensation and perception, personality and abnormal psychology, and research methods.
