The University of Nebraska at Kearney Department of Music and Performing Arts will be holding an open house on Saturday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building.
Throughout the day small groups will perform and mini tours will be given of the department. The event will also include a quiz bowl where teams of students will compete to win a scholarship.
Invited to the event are 125 current majors and minors in the department along with their parents. A number of prospective students have been invited to attend the event as well.
The open house will conclude with a performance by the UNK Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.
