Summer may have just officially arrived, but students and their parents are getting ready for fall at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Incoming freshmen and their parents come to the UNK campus in June and July for one-day Student Advising and Enrollment (SAE) sessions where they get better acquainted with the campus, learn more about campus life, explore financial aid options and enroll students in their fall classes. Greeting the incoming freshmen and their parents are student members of the Student Advising and Enrollment staff.

“This is the first chance for incoming freshmen to come to campus and learn about the various campus offices, activities they can get involved in and meet with academic advisers,” said LeeAnn Amm, UNK assistant director of Admissions. “The Student Advising & Enrollment student staff members answer questions about the campus, lead campus tours and assist the incoming students in registering for classes.”
