Youth from McCook, O’Neill, Stuart and Taylor will compete in a regional history contest at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Tuesday, March 23, according to Dr. Linda Van Ingen, UNK assistant professor of history.
Exploration, Encounter, Exchange in History is the national theme for the 2004 competition. Winners from regional contests will advance to state competition at Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln in April. State winners advance to national competition, which is set for June the University of Maryland in College Park.
