THE HISTORY OF HALLOWEEN

UNK-Phi Alpha Theta, The University of Nebraska at Kearney’s history honor society, will present “The History of Halloween,” Thursday, October 26 at 7 p.m. in Room 142, Copeland Hall.

A video on the history of the holiday will be proceeded by what the honor society describes as creepy Halloween psychological insights provided by Drs. Bill Wozniak and Rick Miller of the UNK Psychology Department. According to Professor Roger Davis the video, “has been put together by the History Channel and is just a lot of fun.”

Wozniak and Miller’s research has focused on the paranormal and will give a scientific look into what society views as mysterious or spiritual. Davis said, “We’ll suspend our belief in science and pretend for a while that vampires really do exist.”

The event is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, contact Professor Roger Davis in the Department of History at the UNK.
