More than 100 corporate recruiters will be on campus this week to attend the career fair for the University of Nebraska at Kearney Industrial Distribution Program, a program whose graduates have a 95 percent hiring rate.

The Industrial Distribution Program career fair will run Tuesday – Thursday (Feb. 15-17). Students have an opportunity to network with
the corporate recruiters who represent 29 different companies from 15 states. Of the 100 corporate recruiters, approximately 30 are alumni of the UNK program.

The three-day fair will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 15. There will be a series of events lasting throughout the day and concluding with the fair’s opening reception from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn. On Wednesday, the fair will feature a question and answer workshop led by ID interns at the Nebraskan Student Union Sandhills Room from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Company conducted interviews will take place from 2-5:30 p.m. at various locations on campus.

“Last year, about 300 interviews took place, and this year we expect that many to take place again,” said Brenda Jochum, internship director for the UNK ID program.

Wednesday night, students and companies will have a “network night” at the Big Apple Fun Center 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m.

“This part of the fair is set up to be a casual environment for students and companies to build relationships,” Jochum said.

Company conducted interviews will continue 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday and will conclude the fair.
