Dr. Anne Foradori

The University of Nebraska at Kearney Concerts-on-the-Platte series will present soprano Dr. Anne Foradori at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, in the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall.
Dr. Foradori, a UNK professor of music for the past 16 years, will perform songs such as “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” and a duet titled ”Bermudas” by Lee Hoiby. The recital will also feature selections by Brahms and Bizet.
Accompanying Dr. Foradori on the piano will be Dr. Marilyn Musick and Dr. Nathan Buckner. Also performing with Dr. Foradori will be Dr. David Nabb on the saxophone and Dr. Sharon Campbell mezzo-soprano.
Dr. Foradori has appeared in recital, concert and opera performances, in the Midwest with Lyric Opera Cleveland, Dreisbach Baroque Ensemble and the Cleveland Orchestra. In 2003, she performed at the College Music Society international conference in San Jose, Costa Rica, and in 2007, she made her debut in New York at the Symphony Space performing arts center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She has also presented lectures, workshops and poster sessions at state, regional and national conferences for groups such as NATS, MTNA, MENC and KCACTF.
In 2008, she received the Pratt-Heins Award in Teaching and the Creativity in Teaching Award in 2004.
Dr. Foradori earned her DMA in vocal performance from Ohio State University as a student of Robin Rice and Helen Swank. She also received the master of music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and her bachelor of Music degree from Ohio University.
The Concerts-on-the-Platte series is sponsored by the UNK Department of Music and Performing Arts. Admission to the recital is free and open to the public.
