Cloggers, bell soloists, dancers and more will take to the stage during the fifth annual University of Nebraska at Kearney Fame Talent Show.
The show, hosted by the Loper Programming and Activities Council, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room. This is the fifth year for the event.
“I think it’s popular, because it’s a great opportunity for our talented students of UNK to show off a bit,” said Jami Schaffnitt, coordinator of Student Activities. “Their friends and fellow classmates enjoy coming to cheer them on. It’s sort of the American Idol of UNK.”
“We’ve had cloggers, comedians, bell solos, singers, dancers and actors,” Schaffnitt said. “We’ve had it all.”
There are 10 entries so far for the talent show. A total of 15 group and single performances will compete for monetary prizes. Group performance prizes for first, second and third place are $300, $200 and $100, respectively. Single performance prizes for first, second and third place are $200, $150 and $50, respectively.
