UNK– University of Nebraska at Kearney students living in the residence halls will host area elementary school children, grades kindergarten through sixth, for Trick-or-Treat Street on the campus between 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28.
“We are asking that parents accompany the children throughout the duration of the event,” said Jen Kacere, UNK Residential and Greek Life complex director. The event is free and open to the children and their accompanying parents.
Parents and their children are to gather in the UNK Nebraskan Student Union Atrium anytime between 5-8 p.m. that day. They will be met by UNK students who will serve as ghost guides for the children and their parents. The ghost guides will lead groups through the participating residence halls. Participating halls include: Mantor Hall, Men’s Hall, Martin Hall, Conrad Hall, Nester N/S, Antelope, Centennial Towers East and Centennial Towers West. The event is being sponsored by the UNK Residence Hall Association.
Students involved with organizing the event include: Columbus – Katie Lawrence; Scottsbluff – Justin Vogel and Waco – Dustin Dye.
