UNK-On March 22 approximately 85 fourth graders from Amherst, Axtell, Elm Creek and Pleasanton will experience life at UNK during the seventh annual Early Awareness Day at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Throughout the day, students will tour the campus, visit various departments for learning sessions or demonstrations and eat lunch on the university campus.
“This event will expose children to what college life is all about and also generate interest in obtaining a college education,” said Angie Bartlett, Early Awareness Day coordinator.
Early Awareness Day is sponsored by the Office of Financial Aid and the Educational Planning Center of Kearney. For more information about the event, contact Angie Bartlett at (308) 865-8520.
