University of Nebraska at Kearney Communications and Marketing partnered with NebraskaLand Bank and Loper Athletics to host a successful Drive-Thru Tailgate Friday in Kearney, serving more than 300 free lunches to the community. Guests enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and swag items, celebrating the “Power of the Herd” from the comfort of their vehicles. The event featured Louie the Loper, with appearances from members of the UNK Sapphires dance team and UNK Cheer squad. The tailgate was a highlight for students, faculty, staff and area residents as they geared up for UNK’s final two days of homecoming festivities.
