UNK’s Chinese Students and Scholars Association hosted its Chinese Spring Festival in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room Saturday. The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year, is a national holiday in China, where families get together to celebrate. At UNK, the festivities included prizes, food and numerous performances, including traditional Chinese dance, kung fu and music. The menu featured dumplings, a classic Chinese New Year dish, as well as scrambled eggs with tomatoes, chicken and potato stew, sweet corn rice and egg rolls. (Photos by Corbey R.
