At approximately 1 p.m., students at Park Elementary School reported a suspicious white male near the school. He is described as being about 30 years old, wearing a black shirt, brown jacket and blue jeans and holding a small gun-like object in his hand.
Park Elementary is located approximately two blocks east of the university. The Kearney Police Department was not able to confirm that a weapon was present.
