About The Project: A collaboration between University of Nebraska Medical Center and University of Nebraska at Kearney, the complex is being built to meet growing demands for primary and rural health care. … UNK and UNMC College of Nursing will expand its bachelor’s of science in nursing and its graduate program for nurse practitioners.
Programs: The UNMC School of Allied Health Professionals will bring to the UNK campus new programs for physician assistants, physical therapists, clinical laboratory scientists, medical nutrition, radiographers and diagnostic medical sonographers.
Features: 14 simulation areas (4 clinical exam rooms, 4 control rooms, 3 simulation rooms, changing room, debriefing, energized radiography), 7 classrooms, 5 labs (anatomy, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, assessment, task training).

Construction Update – August 5
Site utility infrastructure is complete, and crews continue to raise steel and put exterior walls in place. Crews currently are installing underground plumbing and electrical, said site superintendent Charles Purdham. In the coming weeks, stairs and concrete slabs will be installed. Roofing work also will begin in the next two to three weeks. The building is expected to be fully enclosed in late October.
