KEARNEY – Three Academic and Career Services employees at the University of Nebraska at Kearney have received promotions.
Amy Rundstrom is now director of Academic and Career Services. Rundstrom has worked at UNK for 16 years and previously was the office’s associate director.
Aaron Estes has been promoted from assistant director to associate director, and Traci Gunderson was promoted from advisor to assistant director. Estes has worked at UNK for five years, while Gunderson has been at the university for seven years.
Rundstrom, Estes and Gunderson are responsible for assigning academic advisors, coordinating major/advisor information and assisting undeclared students with class schedules, selecting a major and other academic concerns.
The office also serves students, alumni, faculty and employers as the primary resource for career development and job search assistance. In addition to hosting career fairs, services such as individual career counseling, practice interviews and resume/cover letter critiques are among those offered.
Academic and Career Services operates within the newly-formed Division of Academic Services and Enrollment Management.
