KEARNEY – Season tickets for Nebraska-Kearney Athletics are now available for the upcoming 2014-15 season and several new packages are available.
Nearly 90 home events will be hosted by UNK across the fall, winter and spring seasons.
“We greatly value and appreciate the support Loper fans have provided to us over the years. This upcoming season will bring many exciting changes. New Under Armour uniforms will be worn by all of our teams, there will be dramatic and exciting facility enhancements and fans will experience new in-game entertainment and amenities,” said UNK Athletic Director Paul Plinske.
“Lastly, our games will be adjusted to offer varying start times so that families and students with busy lifestyles can enjoy watching the Lopers more regularly.”
The theme for this year is “Your Team. Our Time.” The 2014-2015 season features a campaign to continue the momentum established last year as Loper teams made noticeable strides in the MIAA.
In 2013-14, seven of UNK’s 17 sports finished in the top three in the MIAA with 11 teams qualifying for NCAA post-season competition.
“This year’s theme reflects a call to action for fans to take ownership in our programs as our student athletes work even harder to compete and win championships in a conference that is second to none in NCAA Division II,” said Assistant A.D. for External Affairs Shawn Koehn-Fairbanks
As in previous years, an all-sports pass – football, volleyball, women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, indoor and outdoor track and baseball – is available. The cost ranges from 0-5 per person, depending on whether a fan wants reserved or general admission seating.
For a family of four, the Runza Family pass may be the best option at 0. New to the menu is the Olympic Sports pass – volleyball, women’s soccer, wrestling, indoor and outdoor track and baseball – for 0 per person.
Another new option is season ticket packages for football and men’s and women’s basketball. Cost for football ranges from – per person, with the basketball plan costing between $ 100-0.
There are different pricing options for UNK faculty/staff and retired faculty/staff on all ticketing options.
This fall, UNK has six home football games, none that directly compete with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Highlights include a Thursday night game vs. Washburn on Sept. 11, the 2014 Homecoming tilt vs. Missouri Southern State on Sept. 20 and a live television game vs. Central Oklahoma on Oct. 4.
The UNK basketball schedules will be released soon. Volleyball and soccer schedules are available at www.lopers.com.
Fans who purchase season packages qualify for a variety of perks, including complimentary game day programs, stadium seats for all home football games and the official “Game Day” shirt of the Lopers.
“UNK Athletics will be ramping up the fan experience during the 2014-15 athletic season. Game day programs will include special featured articles and student/athlete profiles as well as special offers from our sponsors,” said Koehn-Fairbanks.
Improvements to the online ordering process are also in place for 2014-15. In partnership with University Tickets, the new site will allow fans the capability to purchase season ticket passes or individual event tickets with ease. Season ticket holders can also create their own account and customize their seat location and ticket packages.
