Kearney, Neb., April 11, 2013 – The Nebraskats at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will present a concert in celebration of their 45th year as an established show choir on April 14 in the Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Building.
The concert, directed by UNK associate professor Andrew White, will begin at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but donations are accepted.
In honor of the Nebraskats’ 45 years, the program will feature special performances by several Nebraskats alumni.
The UNK Nebraskats are a small group of performers and singers accompanied by a small band. Auditions each spring typically draw between 50 and 75 students. The numbers are then narrowed to just a small group of performers that represent places all over the country.
