Kearney, Neb., April 3, 2013 — The American pop duo Karmin will perform at the University of Nebraska at Kearney at 8 p.m. April 17 in the Health and Sports Center Arena.
Tickets are available now at the UNK Nebraskan Student Union Welcome Desk and Hastings Entertainment, 9 W. 39th St., in Kearney. Tickets for UNK students, faculty and staff are $15. Tickets for high school students are $20, and general admission is $25. At the door, all prices increase by $5.
Composed of Amy Heidemann, a Nebraska native, and Nick Noonan, Karmin is best known for their covers of popular songs “Look at Me Now,” originally by Chris Brown, and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.” These covers went viral on YouTube, racking up millions of views. The duo most recently released a CD titled “Hello,” which featured the popular song “Brokenhearted.”
The concert is organized by the Loper Programming and Activities Council and funded by University Programming and Facility Fees.
“LPAC students cover all the details from beginning to end,” said Tim Danube, associate director of the Nebraskan Student Union. “They produced the surveys that went out to the students to help them pick the event, promote the event and are getting volunteers involved. They will also make sure everything runs smoothly during the show.”
