The Antelope, the student newspaper at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, has announced staff members for the spring 2013 semester.
The Antelope staff members handle the content, design, ad sales, production and business aspects of the collegiate newspaper. The Antelope offers both paid and class-credit-only positions for students.
“Students in the UNK communication department produce the print edition as well as develop the online edition, ads and design of The Antelope,” said Caitlin Ostberg of Stromsburg, managing print editor for the publication.
For more than 100 years, The Antelope newspaper has published weekly for UNK students, faculty and staff, and the Kearney community. The advisers for The Antelope include Tereca Diffenderfer, senior lecturer in communication, and Dr. Christina Jackson, assistant professor of communication.
“Working on The Antelope has been an amazing experience and has allowed us to gain professional experience while still in college,” said Lacey McPhillips of Lindsay, editor-in-chief of The Antelope.
