A monster, flying horse, king and queen, and hero and heroine, all written in the stars, are the subject of the newest planetarium show, “The Story of Autumn,” at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
According to Dr. Jose Mena-Werth, planetarium director and UNK professor of physics and physical science, “The Story of Autumn” is the most famous bedtime story in history, and has been the subject of numerous movies.
The planetarium show, which will be presented on Friday, Nov. 4, will begin at 7 p.m., and will last approximately 35 minutes. Tickets, which are free, are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no advance reservations. An encore show will be presented at 8 p.m. if there is an overflow crowd. While the shows are free and open to the public, donations of dry or canned foods for the local food pantry will be accepted.
Individuals cannot be admitted once a show has started, nor can they be readmitted if they leave during the show. Also, children must be five years of age or older to attend.
