Rivoli’s recent book, “The Travels of a T-Shirt in the Global Economy,” has been widely acclaimed by both the popular press and the academic community as a path-breaking study of globalization. It was also designated by the American Association of Publishers as the best scholarly book of 2005, in the category of Finance and Economics. The book has been translated into 14 languages and the second edition was published in 2009.

Globalization is the topic for the lectures in this year’s E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues. The lectures will explore the complexities of globalization, as well as “revisit globalization’s promise.”
