School systems from five states will attend the Educators Employment Fair at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Tuesday, March 29.
Representatives from school systems in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming will be present at the fair, which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union. Approximately 150 job seekers are expected to attend the UNK Academic and Career Services sponsored event. The event is open to all UNK students, alumni and the general public.
“This is a great way for job seekers to meet with school districts who are looking for teachers. It is one more resource for them,”
said Mary Daake, director of UNK Academic and Career Services. Job seekers are able to search open positions on the UNK Academic and Career Services website (http://www.unk.edu/edfair) by city, state and category.
“Some schools have traditionally done interviews following the fair that day. These schools are anxious to find teachers,” Daake said.
