UNK – Officers have been elected for the newly founded Photography Club at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
“I decided to start the group, because when I studied aboard there was a photography club there,” said Justin Buchanan, a UNK student from St. Paul. “I am passionate about photography, so I wanted to start a club here to get other people interested.” Buchanan is president and founder of the UNK Photography Club.
In March, the club will sponsor a photography contest. Proceeds from the contest will go to New Mission Systems International. The next meeting for the Photography Club is set for 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, in the Sandhills Room, which is located in the Nebraskan Student Union.
Officers, in addition to Buchanan, include: Jennifer Frisch of Lindsay, vice president; Lacie Wiese of Doniphan,secretary; and
Corinne O’Dea of McCook, treasurer.
