This year, for the first time, the Japanese Association at Kearney (JAK) presents Japan Peace Day 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 1-2, in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room. The poster exhibit is free and open to the public.

In the words of JAK board member, Ryota Kawamoto: “The posters exhibited in this event were provided by Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum has worked the last two years to hold exhibitions of these posters in 113 cities to show the terror of nuclear weapons. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is still working on that for this year. We are holding this event with the cooperation of the museum. Through joining this event, we would like everyone to view these posters and consider the abolition of nuclear weapons.”
