The Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association at the University of Nebraska Kearney has elected new officers for the year, according to Marsha Yeagley, AMA faculty adviser.
Yeagley said, “The university chapter enables students to participate in formally held meetings, gain practical experience in marketing, represent and promote the marketing department across campus, build their resume, listen to speakers from the community talk about their marketing opportunities and experiences, and network with the speakers and other students.”
“The organization focuses on the importance of marketing, not only as a career choice but in students’ day-to-day lives as educated consumers,” she added. “The AMA is the premier marketing trade association for marketing professionals.” AMA, which is one of the largest professional associations for marketers, has been active on the UNK campus since 1991.
Newly elected officers from Nebraska include:
Hartington -Karla Heimes, president.
