t’s the spring “big dance” for robots at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The seventh annual robotics competition is set for 12:20 – 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, in Otto Olsen Building, Room 117, on the campus.
This year, the robots are playing one-on-one basketball, following the guidelines of the 2009 Midwest Instruction Computing Symposium Robot contest. The robots are required to make three point shots.
“You are invited to stop by and see our robots in action, but space is limited,” said Dr. John Hastings, an associate professor in the UNK Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. “If you would like more information on this contest, please feel free to contact me.”
