UNK- The spring semester student editors for “The Antelope” student newspaper at the University of Nebraska at Kearney have been named.

“The Antelope” is the student-managed publication for the UNK campus. All content is produced by the students. Students can enroll for the news, photo or advertising staff for class credit through the Department of Communication, apply for a paid position on the editorial staff, or make guest and volunteer contributions each week.

“The growth in the student newspaper in the past year can be attributed to the hard work of the managing editor, the section editors, staff and contributions from the JMC classes,” said Tereca Diffenderfer, faculty adviser for “The Antelope.” “The managing and section editors continue to be focused on covering more diverse news.”

New to the paper this term are an updated Web presence, columns from a blogging class, creative photography, sports features, graphics and an emphasis on more diverse news from all sections of the campus, according to Diffenderfer.
