UNK Students Receive $2,500 Teaching Scholarships

Twenty-three students from the University of Nebraska at Kearney College of Education have been named recipients of $2,500 Nebraska Department of Education Attracting Excellence to Teaching Scholarships.
           To be eligible, university students must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a four-point scale. In addition, they must have graduated in the top one-quarter of their high school class.
           The scholarships are awarded annually to education majors who commit to teaching at least one year in a Nebraska school upon graduation. The student recipients, and their teaching endorsements, are listed below by hometown:
