Thirty high school physics and chemistry students and their teachers from Elba and Ord will be on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus for the fourth annual Physics Day.
The event features a day of active learning experiences in physics, a tour of the campus, lunch in the Nebraskan Student Union and a planetarium show.
Organizers of the event are Dr. Trecia Markes and Dr. Mark Markes of the UNK Department of Physics & Physical Sciences, along with a number of science education and physics majors. The UNK faculty and students will give presentations on force, motion, light and electrical circuits.
Accompanying the high school students are their teachers Marie Nielsen of Elba and Wendy Alexander of Ord.
