Recycled Percussion, a group that makes music with recycled materials, will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Nebraskan Student Union.

The group, four percussionists from New Hampshire, perform using instruments that consist of recycled trashcans, ladders, buckets, cans, duct tape, chainsaws, their bodies and voices, drumsticks and numerous other items.

Using this variety of “instrumentation,” the group produces the unique and rhythmic sounds of Latin, African, Hip Hop and Rock.

Recycled Percussion has been featured on the cover of USA Today, and more recently, they performed at half-time of a San Francisco 49ers game before a crowd of more than 60,000 people.

UNK students can attend free with their UNK ID. General admission is $3, and those ages 12 and under will be admitted free.
