Two performances from the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Concerts-on-the-Platte series will be featured among NET Radio’s “Nebraska Concerts” on Saturday and Monday, Nov. 12 and 14.
NET Radio’s “Nebraska Concerts” features classical music performed and recorded on Nebraska’s stages each Saturday at 2 p.m. and again on Monday at 8 p.m.

Opening the program will be UNK pianist Dr. Nathan Buckner, who teamed up with Hastings College pianist Jonathan Sokasits, playing a program of piano duets. In addition to music by Beethoven and Mozart, the Sonata in C major  by Jan Ladislav Dussek is performed.

Then, the Meadowlark Trio — which includes Dr. Marilyn Musick, piano; Franziska Nabb, flute; and Marianne Fuerst, cello — play trios by Franz Josef Haydn and Francois Couperin, and arrangements of music from Mozart’s The Magic Flute  and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio in D minor.  The Meadowlark Trio was recorded in September of 2004, and the piano duo concert was recorded last February.

“Nebraska Concerts” is produced and hosted by Jerry Johnston; Genevieve Randall is scriptwriter.
