The Pre-Health Professions Panel Session which addresses the application and interview process for advanced study in the health professions is set for 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, in the University of Nebraska at Kearney Nebraskan Student Union Cedar Room.
Seven Kearney-area health care professionals will share experiences and offer advice. The panelists will focus on personal college experiences, application and interview experiences, and general advice regarding careers in health care.
“It is never too early to start gathering information and seeking the advice of health care professionals,” said Peggy Abels, UNK director of Health Sciences. “I encourage all students to attend, regardless of class standing.”
Information about setting up a practice interview with Career Services will be available. The practice interview will be videotaped to allow students to see themselves in the interview process. Career Services will have additional resources as well to help students prepare for a successful interview.
