Four choirs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will showcase their talent in a 7:30 p.m. concert Thursday, Oct. 13, in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.
While the combined choirs concert will include a variety of music and musical styles, a highlight of the evening will be a series of cathedral classics that will be performed by the Choraleers and the Collegium, according to Dr. David Bauer, director.
The cathedral classics will give concert-goers a preview of the two choirs’ upcoming performance at St. Cecilia’s Cathedral in Omaha on Sunday, Oct. 23.
In addition to the Choraleers and the Collegium, the Women’s Chorus and Men’s Chorus will also perform. Among the pieces that the Women’s Chorus and the Men’s Chorus will perform will be folk songs, sailing songs and opera.
“I think people will enjoy the variety,” Dr. Bauer said.
