Scott Schneider, a UNK theatre major from Norfolk, will perform in the lead role of Janice Fronczak’s original play, Corn Man, at the International Conference on Arts and Humanities in Honolulu, Hawaii, in January.
The play is one of only two selected to be presented at the conference. The remaining roles in the play will be cast internationally from among conference participants.
According to Fronczak, a UNK assistant professor of theatre, the play will be published on a conference CD.
Original music and songs in the play, created by award-winning composer Deanna Walker of Nashville, Tenn., were made possible with support from several grants, Fronczak noted.
