JENNIFER BIENHOFF NAMED 2004 DISTINGUISHED TUTOR

Jennifer Bienhoff, a junior majoring in psychology and English, has been named the Fall 2004 Distinguished Tutor by the Center for Success Learning Strategies Office.

As a part of the UNK tutoring program, Bienhoff tutors students taking classes in psychology and English, as well as helps students develop their writing and study skills. Her selection was based on a nominations. Nominations received for Bienhoff praised her ability to prioritize her duties, and to always be available to students, faculty and staff.

She is a member of Psi Chi, Golden Torch Society, Sigma Tau Delta and Phi Kappa Phi. In addition, she is president of the Psychology Club.

Other awards Jennifer has received include:
– 2004 Best Undergraduate Empirical Paper at the Nebraska Psychological Society (NPS) in conjunction with the Association for Psychological and Educational Research in Kansas (PERK) Convention
– Second Place, Student Research Day, Effects of Physical Attractiveness on Advertisement Desirability and Recall
– A Dean’s List student

This award is presented each year at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Bienhoff is from Kensington, Kansas.
