The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) at the University of Nebraska- Kearney has elected officers for 2004-2005.
SHRM, a collegiate organization for those interested in a career in human resources, is open to all business majors, and focuses on developing leadership and networking skills.
Each meeting is comprised of a short business meeting and a presentation by a professional human resources person from the region. In addition, the group is responsible for a philanthropic project and encourages students interested in the same discipline to get to know one another through social activities.
The newly elected officers include:
Eustis- Mike Strong, vice president/merit award coordinator
McCook- Erika Redfern, president
El Salvador
San Salvador- Marta Cea, treasurer
Chapter advisers include Dr. David Palmer, Dr. Kyle Luthans and Dr. Kay Hodge, all faculty in the Department of Management/Marketing.
