The University of Nebraska at Kearney will be featured as the opening five-minute segment of Pat Summerall’s Champions of Industry show on The Discovery Channel network next week.
UNK will be the lead feature, airing at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11. The full five-minute segment will then be featured for a 24-hour period underChampions of Industry on Forbes.com and for a year on TheEducationStation.com and www.unk.edu.
The show will highlight interviews with Chancellor Doug Kristensen, along with former Kearney Mayor Pete Kotsiopulos; Michelle “Shelly” Marks, a UNK graduate; Phyllis Harris, director of Multicultural Affairs; Dennis Potthoff, chair of the Department of Teacher Education; and Julie Shaffer, assistant professor of biology.
In the Kearney area, The Discovery Channel is #25, except in Lexington, where it can be found at #49. For wireless cable users, The Discovery Channel is #22.
