Driver education courses will be offered by the Nebraska Safety Center at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Sept. 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, Oct. 2, 7, 9, 14 and 16. On-street driving will meet at the Defensive Driving Range on West Railroad Street and the classroom segment will be held on the UNK campus in the West Center building, room E210.
The class will meet from 6 – 9 p.m. and on-street driving will be scheduled at an arranged time between the students and instructors. Students are provided up to three hours of on-street driving time. Students requiring more than three hours of driving will be charged $40.00 per hour. Each student must have a school permit, learner’s permit for a school permit, learner’s permit or driver’s license.
Cost of the course is $225.00, with a non-refundable $100.00 deposit to be received prior to the course to ensure enrollment.
