A group of 38 Valentine High School chemistry students and their teacher, Loralyn O’Kief, will be visiting the department of chemistry at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on April 15 from 10 a.m. –2 p.m.
“Their visit will include a department tour, a classroom session on careers in chemistry, and lab activities that utilize department equipment and pertain to a water analysis project they are conducting in their class,” said Dr. Chris Exstrom, associate professor of chemistry.
This visit is a follow-up to the visit made by Drs. Exstrom, Michael Mosher and Scott Darveau on March 4 where they led the chemistry students various lab activities.
